CSV import guide

Five steps from an accounting export to a reviewed BizFlow import.

BizFlow currently accepts CSV files for invoice and expense imports. You can export a CSV from most accounting systems or save a spreadsheet sheet as CSV. Direct Excel workbook upload is not available yet.

  1. Export a CSV file

Export invoices or expenses from your accounting system as a CSV file with a header row. If you have an Excel workbook, save the relevant sheet as CSV before uploading it.

  2. Choose the destination

In BizFlow, select the client company and whether the file contains invoices or expenses. The import screen also offers a sample CSV for each dataset.

  3. Map the columns

Match your file headers to BizFlow fields. Check the required fields and adjust date or decimal formats when the suggested mapping needs correction.

  4. Review the preview

Read the row-level validation results and decide how to handle possible duplicates. Nothing is written to the company until you explicitly commit the import.

  5. Commit and check the outcome

Confirm the rows you want to import, then review the outcome and any rejected rows in Import history. The source filename and import time stay with the records.
